small intestine disease

hi,my 3 year old chocolate lab has just been diagnosed with distal small intestine disease.has anyone got any experience of this? i am new to this lab forum.also have another chocolate lab nearly 4.half brothers and gorgeous.

Hi and welcome to lab-lovers.
Can you explain a bit more about the disease is it curable or is it a lifelong thing, we had a lab that had problems with his bowel but not sure it is the same thing.

I have no direct experience but have read that steroids produce a rapid improvement. We have had several dogs on long term steroids and they tolerated the drug just fine.

I hope you see a rapid improvement too.
