newbi
hi all looking forward to sharing those labrador stories with everyone. I have 3 labradors, a yellow called bonnie whose 4 1/2 sophie her daughter whose black and 2 1/2, and ruby her other dai=ughter whose 7 months and fox red. I also share my first labrador chance with my sister where she spends most of her time and shes 12 1/2 shes black and my sister also has sophies sister casper who is as white as they come. So quiet often 5 labradors are ruling our house lol. All quiet different in character. Bonnie she loves everyone, quiet settled now but has a very selective hearing, loves swimming and her ball got a great catch, Shes also got a fantastic nose. Sophie she is just odd she pretends to be very aggressive, but loves her cuddles not confident round people at all and total hyper active gets very excited at nothing and acts more of a pup than our pup lol. She also loves water but not a swimmer, though she had her first non pushed swim the other day at the beach was so glad to see it. Ruby she is just adorable, her temperment is fantastic so laid back, She really doesn't see the point of alot of things you ask her to do, like whats the paw all about or chasing balls when theres two others to do that lol. Very smart and likes to rule the rooste has done since about 12 weeks old. Shes just learning to fetch, Knows to sit and stay but really thinks giving the paw is pointless. Shes soo gentle, shes the biggest we have already a few inches taller than her mum but her dad was a very very big labrador, gentle giant and trained gundog where i think her attitude and sense comes from.
Chance she was a one in a life time dog, so obediant and we had her so well trained but we never did any trials with her really wishing we had done. She also knew a lot of impressive tricks such as counting, adding, subtracting, the meaning of yes and no, she knew her colours ect too, had far too much time when she was a pup. She also would not of crossed a road with out permission, was a fantastic mouser and ratter in her hay day too. Shes just the OAP now and takes life easy though still shows the younger ones a trick or two about ratting, and must secretly laugh at there feable attempts lol. Casper although sophies sister shares very similar characteristics to ruby. them two get on really well togeather love each other to bits, though the two keep trying to out smart each other which can be fun to watch. will put some pics up over the next week. |

RE: newbi
Hi and welcome to lab-lovers, I'm so jealous i absolutely adore the foxred labs Have had a couple my self.
Trixie has parts of her that could be foxred but is actually quite light in other places. Your labs sound like a great laugh. ![]() ![]() Labrador of the month is back |
