leads and collars
what do you use ?

with all my dogs i have always used a choke chain no matter what from day one

and i feel if they are used right then the dog will not come to any harm at all

i no there are a lot of people out there that think they are cruel and nasty

but my answer to them is that all my dogs have always been trained propley and walk nicely on lead and dont pull like a train so how is cruel

saying that with the pup i have got a slip knot collar just to keep the right side of the law i dont like collars and none of my dogs have worn them this slip knot will come undone if it gets caught on anything so will give that ago as dont fancy the fines hat come with letting your dog run with out a collar

also im trying a gundug slip lead with the pup nice spliced rope lead works on the same basis as the choke chain just a all in one lead
so will see how we get on woth that

so what do you use?

RE: leads and collars
I use a regular nylon buckle-clip collar and leash when on walks with both boys - and then an English slip lead for showing with Baron.

RE: leads and collars
With trixie i use just a collar and lead but as she pulls quite a bit i'm going to get a halti or harness for her.

Hi Neal

We use a half choker for Cocoa for the same reason but we found it very difficult to find one when we bought Paddy home. I have found one now.

Not sure where you are from but good pet shops will stock these kind of things or the internet ebay is always good, just worth bearing in mind as paddy will grow and will probably need a larger sized collar one of our male labs grew to be over 30kg in weight.
