What made you choose your lab's name ??

Just that .....

Our Springers are called Mist and Fern and the Lab is Holly. We picked them as they are gundogs so wanted country, outdoor names LOL

I don't think there was any story behind it ,we saw her and thought trixie suited her and she looked like a trixie

Our Springer is called Missy, our daughter picked that so when we got our lab cross it was only fair that our son chose the name - Flint is a character in the kids film 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'!!!

When we got Ruby I wanted to call her Bracken but it didn't suit her. She was a brilliant red then (chocolate now) so Ruby was apt.

Dyson was originally called Merlin - I chose that before we got him but he comes from an assistance dog charity and I didn't like his original name. After 3 days of being Merlin OH reminded me about a clients dog when I worked at a vets who was a chocolate Lab called Dyson and we felt as our boy is quick to eat anything edible to hand it was a more appropriate name and it stuck.

I think I also prefer dyson to merlin, to me merlin sounds more like cats name.
