How to keep your dog warm in winter
This year its going to be a bit warmer than usual, as we've moved north, but, still cool, as you'd expect for winter. Since we're in Australia (we don't get snow where we are), its not the coldest place in the world.
What do you do to keep a dog warm, but also try not to scare it?

RE: How to keep your dog warm in winter
In the winter months we normally keep her indoors a bit more with a nice warm blanket to snuggle on.

Toby seems to like being in blankets / fluffy towels. We keep the house warm, but just in case - we set aside certain fluffy towels just for him Smile

My dog likes to stay hot all year round, even on the hottest days she tried to sneak into the conservatory(so hot in there) In winter she has an extra blanket in her bed.

Hello guys,.
I thinks also dont use blankets in a dog house. use straw. blankets hold water and make it worse for the dog.

Sorry, but you cannot advertise in your signature.

Global warming is really showing it's effect. We should be more aware and careful with our environment.

Labrador retrievers have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don't even know we have.

RE: How to keep your dog warm in winter
In winter, i keep my dog at home for a whole day. and take him out side the house in the evening for playing.
I give hot foods like fish, chicken, meat and milk which provide warm and keep away from diseases.

I don't have to do anything special...they're labs, the dual coat is there to protect them from the cold. Hence why they can swim in 10 degree water and be happy while doing so! Smile

The same as what I do, We live in Australia and it does not get very cold, so they are usually fine as long as they have somewhere comfortable, sheltered and waterproof Smile
