Hi from my Labbie & I :)
Hello from my Labbie and I, so excited to be here!

I am 21, and have literally always had Labs. My first was Whisper (yellow), when I was a toddler, next was Zoey (black) and then Summer (yellow) when I was 11. Summer still lives with my parents and is 10 years old

I was the kennel agent for Windancing Labradors in high school, and did some showing, even got a 2nd place ribbon with a young chocolate stud at the Potomac Lab Specialty in Maryland, one of the highlights of my life thus far

The two Labradors that made the greatest impact on my life were Rail (black) & his daughter Julia (yellow). Rail was my best friend at Windancing. He meant everything to me, and when Julia was born, it was the same with her. I promised them they would be mine when they were retired. But sadly, Rail never got the chance. He passed away of cancer at only 3 years of age, and took a piece of me with him. Crying After his death, Julia and I were inseparableHeart

After moving away from home, I was told that Julia was rehomed. I was heartbroken, but determined that I would get her back one day. I recently found out she had been rehomed again about a year ago! This past week I got in touch with her new owner, and asked to adopt her when she retired. He blew me away by giving her to me this very morning! She is lying next to me as I type this, as if she knows she is finally home. My world is complete at last, and each time I look in her eyes, Rail is more alive in my heart than ever.

Julia is 4 1/2 years old, the picture in my avatar is when she was about 1 1/2Heart

I'm a happily married mommy of a little boy, and a full-time business student at Penn State University.
So happy to meet you all & your Labbies. Smile

I haven't shown since 2008 but I plan to get back to it next year for sure, this year if I can afford it! I wish I had someone to show with around here!

Where are you at in PA? I'm located in Western MD and just getting involved in showing within the last year.

It really is something. A good place to meet a lot of great people who are involved with the breed.
