Re: Does anyone show or work their labs
I have two labs. Freyja is 7 now our second lab is her first born (she had 12 and all three colors) Loki , he will be 4 in February. I take Loki to Agility and he loves it. He likes the jumps but loves most the dog walk, A frame and see-saw. He needs to practice to learn the weaves better but he is a large lab, 92 lbs and smaller dogs are better suited to the weaves. I think his favorite is the tunnel. I have not taken him to any competitions and don't know if I will he just enjoys it and we go to the classes and practice at home for fun.

Re: Does anyone show or work their labs
Hey Rita thats good to hear. Thanks for joining, hope you will stick around and enjoy the forum.
Back to the topic, we are hoping to do agility with our trixie when she is old enough. She is only just turned 3 months so she got a while to go yet. We are also hoping to put her through her good citizen dog award, hoping she will get gold. The pet therapy idea sounds great to what does that involve. Maybe you could start a new topic on the boards to let other users know about therapy dog work ![]() ![]() Labrador of the month is back |

Re: Does anyone show or work their labs
Well Milo is a lab X so not much chance of showing him!
We have done some flyball with him and Jayjay though, they enjoyed it a lot but it became a bit too expensive so we're taking a break from it for a while. |

Re: Does anyone show or work their labs
Yeah, they're really ball obsessed so they took to it quite quickly. We tried it with Trinny too but she was too nervous and got stressed out with it all.

RE: Does anyone show or work their labs
We never did with our old lab, although we may look into doing so with our dog Duke. He's a mutt though so I would have to find out which dog shows allow mutts to participate in them first.

RE: Does anyone show or work their labs
You will be able to enter fun dog shows not sure about proper shows. You should also be able to do agility with him although maybe not on a professional level.
