Another limping lab
Confused Ruby has been fine all day i left her on the settee while i made dinner. She was lieing on the floor when i finished dinner when she got up she wasn't bearing weight on her hind leg.Huh So from moviing off the settee onto the floor shes managed to hurt herself. I have checked her all over nothing in her paw that i can see or feel and shes not uncomfortable while im moving her leg ect shes not wimping or showing signs of being in pain. So i will see how she goes i have some metacam for her from when she broke her toe, but i found then she was better without as with the metacam she over did it a bit and didn't do her toe any good. Our vets a good believer of giving a week to see if things improve then if not xrays.

RE: Another limping lab
If the vets recommend you leave it for a week and see how she is then maybe do that and see how she is.
She may have just pulled something while jumping of the settee. If shes not better in a few days then maybe get in touch with your vet.

RE: Another limping lab
Thats the plan she is weight bearing at times and other times shes hopping round with her leg up. My sister commented last night thats rubys life story being lame lol. She fell of the sette when she was 7 weeks old and was at the vets getting painkillers we think she hurt the growth plates at the time she improved quiet quick so vet never saw the need to xray. then she did the other leg a week later when she jumped of the door step and forgot to put her feet down as she wasn't looking where she was going same repeat we think she gave her self a dead leg. Then about 3 weeks later she broke her toe when a horse stood on it and now her back leg lol.

RE: Another limping lab
well ruby fully recovered and came 100% and last week she started imping again on the same leg, but not only when she gets up just when shes going slow(which ain't that often) so away on holiday for a week and when we get back shes going in for x rays and possible ultrasound to rule out anything serious, could just be possible shes pulled a muscle as shes always play fighting with her mum.

I understand you meant well, but probably not a good idea to have posted this.

@OP, I'm glad she's feeling better!

RE: Another limping lab
You should go to the vet to have a check. The dog may have hidden health conditions.

Labrador retrievers have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don't even know we have.
